Co-parenting may not always be glamorous, but Fergie and Josh Duhamel know how to do it well.
In fact, the Las Vegas actor recently heaped praise on the Black Eyed Peas alum—with whom he shares 10-year-old son Axl—for the warmth she's shown his wife Audra Mari.
"Fergie is an amazing woman. She really is," Josh—who split from Fergie in 2017 before finalizing their divorce two years later—said on an episode of SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show shared Sept. 14. "And she's taken Audra in. And it could be much worse. That's the thing is you never know how these things are gonna go."
Fans got a glimpse into just how well things are going after Fergie congratulated her ex and his wife on their announcement earlier this week that they're expecting their first child together—with the "Glamorous" artist writing on Instagram, "I am truly happy for you guys. Axl can't wait to be a big brother."
Josh seemed to appreciate Fergie's well-wishes too and expressed how much he values their dynamic.
"Because she's such a kindhearted person—she really, truly is—she only has love for Audra and is excited as—I can't believe how excited she is for us," the Transformers star continued. "Like I said, it could be a lot worse. And I've seen it. I've lived it. And thankfully we have a really civil situation."
And when it comes to fatherhood, Josh—who tied the knot with Audra in 2022—is ready to get it started all over again.
"Jumping back in at this ripe old age, Jess," the 50-year-old shared. "I'm doing it, and I cannot wait. To me, that's what it's about. I'm meant to be a dad. There's nothing I enjoy more than to watch my boy—I have a 10-year-old who's the best thing I ever did. And so, I get to do this again and hopefully again after that. And yeah, we're very excited. Axl's gonna be a great older brother. Audra's gonna be a great mother. Very blessed."

The All My Children actor added an outdoorsy photo to the birthday tribute, showing the pair making a splash during a lake trip.
Axl bonded with his grandfather Jon Patrick Ferguson in July 2020, when Fergie wrote, "Happy 73rd birthday dad!! We love you so much."

Fergie marked Axl's 10th birthday in August 2023 with a series of photos of her boy, including this silly shot.
"To my caring, funny, outgoing, loving, smart, talkative, creative super hero enthusiast," she wrote in her birthday tribute. "Happy 10th birthday punky!!! I love you Axl Jack."
Axl is also a big sports fan, as seen in photos with friends sporting Cristiano Ronaldo's jersey.
Proving to be a big soccer lover, Axl repped a Manchester United jersey in another shot.
